Privacy Policy
In plain terms: We collect the account, property, and booking data needed to sync your listings across channels. We share it only with the channel partners you connect and a short list of infrastructure vendors (Supabase, AWS, Hetzner, GoHighLevel, Google). We never sell your data. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete it at any time, no matter where you live, by emailing info@channelsconnect.com.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. Name, email address, password (stored as a hash, never in plain text), and phone number if you provide one during registration or sign in with Google.
Property and booking data. Property listings, descriptions, and photos you upload; calendar availability; rates; and booking records synced from connected channels such as Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and Expedia.
Guest data received through channels. Where a connected channel shares guest names, contact details, or reservation notes with us so we can display and sync a booking, we process that data as a processor acting on your instructions. See our Data Processing Agreement for how this works.
Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the cookies described in our Cookie Policy. We use this to keep the platform secure and to understand which features are actually used.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the channel management service: creating and maintaining your account, synchronizing listings and calendars across connected channels, processing the booking commission that funds the free platform, responding to support requests, and securing the platform against fraud and abuse. We also use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to decide what to build next. We do not use your property or guest data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Channel partners
To keep your listings and calendars in sync, we send your property data to the booking channels you connect (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, and others) and receive booking and guest data back from them. Each channel’s own privacy policy governs how it handles that data on its side.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of vendors to run the platform. Each one is listed in the subprocessor table in our Data Processing Agreement. In short: Supabase for authentication and database storage, Amazon Web Services and Hetzner for hosting, GoHighLevel for our CRM, chat widget, and customer communications, and Google Workspace for company email. These vendors process data under contract and only for the purposes we specify.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Channels Connect, our users, or the public.
4. Data Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to what each team member’s role requires, and use Supabase’s authentication layer for credential storage rather than building our own. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data. See Section 9 of our Data Processing Agreement for our breach notification timeline.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Channels Connect is a US company serving vacation rental managers worldwide. Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by writing to info@channelsconnect.com. We honor these requests as a matter of policy, not only where a law requires it.
GDPR rights (EU and UK users)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format. Submit requests to info@channelsconnect.com; we respond within 30 days.
CCPA rights (California residents)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of that information, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still submit access and deletion requests to info@channelsconnect.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
6. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure runs primarily in the United States and the European Union through AWS, Hetzner, and Supabase. When personal data moves from the EU or UK to the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the security measures described in our Data Processing Agreement to keep it protected.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and property data for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward to handle final commission settlements, legal claims, and tax records. If you close your account, contact info@channelsconnect.com to request deletion of your data outside the normal retention window; we will confirm once it is complete.
8. Children’s Privacy
Channels Connect is a business platform for property managers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact info@channelsconnect.com and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top reflects the last substantive revision, not the date you happen to be reading it. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
