Cookie Policy
In plain terms: We use two kinds of cookies: authentication cookies from Supabase that keep you logged in, and a functional cookie from our GoHighLevel chat widget that remembers your conversation. We do not run advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks. You can decline non-essential cookies from the consent banner on the site.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits, such as whether you are logged in or what you were doing on your last visit. Some are set directly by Channels Connect, and some are set by the third party tools embedded on our site. A cookie by itself does not identify you by name; it is simply a token your browser sends back to the site that set it, which is what lets a site recognize a returning visitor or an existing session.
2. Cookies We Actually Use
Unlike a generic cookie policy, this table reflects the cookies our platform sets today, not a hypothetical full marketing stack.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Category | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth token | Supabase | Keeps you signed in to your Channels Connect account | Essential | Until logout or expiry, typically 7 to 30 days |
| Supabase refresh token | Supabase | Silently renews your session without forcing a re-login | Essential | Rolling, tied to session activity |
| GoHighLevel widget session | GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Remembers your chat conversation with our team | Functional | Session, cleared when the browser closes |
| GoHighLevel visitor ID | GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Reconnects a returning visitor to their prior chat thread | Functional | Up to 1 year |
We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising or retargeting cookie on the marketing site. If that changes, this table will be updated and the change will be listed in Section 5.
3. Cookie Management
Browser settings
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. In Chrome, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies. In Firefox, go to Settings, then Privacy and Security. In Safari, go to Preferences, then Privacy. In Edge, go to Settings, then Cookies and Site Permissions. Blocking the Supabase authentication cookies will prevent you from staying logged in to your dashboard, so you would need to sign in again on each visit.
Our consent banner
Anonymous, logged out visitors to channelsconnect.com see a cookie consent notice before any functional cookie, such as the chat widget, is set. You can accept or decline from that banner. Declining does not block essential cookies once you sign in, because those are set as a direct, necessary consequence of your own action of logging in, not as advance tracking. If you decline and never sign in, the only cookie related to Channels Connect on your device is the record of your consent choice itself, so we do not ask again on every page load.
What happens if you block cookies
If you block or delete the Supabase authentication cookies, you will be logged out and prompted to sign in again. If you decline the GoHighLevel chat widget cookie from the consent banner, the widget will still load so you can start a conversation, but it will not remember that conversation if you close the tab and come back later. Neither choice affects your ability to browse the marketing site.
4. Third Party Cookies
The GoHighLevel chat widget is the only third party script embedded in the marketing site, and it is described in the table above. When you connect a booking channel such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com from inside your dashboard, that channel’s own site may set its own cookies once you are redirected there to authorize the connection. Those cookies are governed by the channel’s own cookie and privacy policy, not this one.
5. Updates to This Policy
If we add or remove a cookie, we update the table in Section 2 and revise the date at the top of this page. We do not backdate changes, and we do not silently expand cookie use without updating this page first. If we ever introduce analytics or advertising cookies, this policy will list them by name, purpose, and retention period before they are switched on for any visitor, not after the fact.
6. International Users
Whether you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or elsewhere, the same cookie table in Section 2 applies to you. We do not run different tracking depending on where you are located, and we honor a decline on the consent banner the same way for every visitor. Because we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, there is no separate opt-out link to click for California residents under the CCPA; declining on the banner already covers everything non-essential that we set.
7. Local Storage and Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, your browser’s local storage may hold a small amount of non-sensitive interface state, such as whether you have already seen the cookie banner, so we do not show it again every time you visit. This is not used for tracking across sites and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
